Restaurant Reviewer + Local Food Reporter

I served as The Des Moines Register's chief food critic from 1997 to 2012, and wrote over 750 reviews for this paper. These days, I occasionally write on the local dining scene for dsm Magazine, a lifestyle magazine in Des Moines. I also have a very active Facebook page, All Things Food DSM-Wini Moranville, which keeps track of culinary items of interest on the local food scene

National Publications

Since 1994, I have served as an editor and/or feature writer on numerous cookbooks, magazines, and websites, many of them within the Better Homes and Gardens family of publications.
